Village in the Vltava valley, first recorded in the 2nd half of the 14th century. On the cemetery stands of originally Gothic church of St. james of the 14th century with valuable furnishings. The water reservoir of 1818 above the village is a protected Technical monument. On a hill are remnants of a guard castle from the 14th century, built to protect the property of the Cistercian monastery at Zlatá Koruna.
